1. Acceptance
By using Personal AI ("the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Description of the service
Personal AI is an AI-powered assistant that can chat with you, manage Gmail (read, summarize, reply), and perform web search. You may connect your own AI provider (e.g. OpenAI API key or local Ollama). The service is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
3. Account and eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the service. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and API keys secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when signing up.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to violate any law, infringe others’ rights, send spam or malware, or abuse the systems or third-party APIs (e.g. Google, OpenAI). You must comply with the terms of any connected services (e.g. Google, OpenAI). We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you have violated these terms.
5. Your content and data
You retain ownership of the content you submit. By using the service, you grant us the rights necessary to operate it (e.g. to process your messages and Gmail data as described in our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use and share any content you provide.
6. AI and third-party providers
The assistant may use third-party AI and APIs. Outputs can be inaccurate or inappropriate. We are not responsible for the accuracy or content of AI-generated responses or for the policies or actions of third-party providers. Use of your API keys (e.g. OpenAI) is subject to those providers’ terms and billing.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE (AND OUR AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, AND EMPLOYEES) SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS IF GREATER).
9. Changes to the service and terms
We may change the service or these terms at any time. We will post updated terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for breach of these terms or for any other reason. You may stop using the service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g. disclaimers, limitation of liability) will survive termination.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction specified by the operator of the service. Any dispute shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
